The Status Bar displays the current date and time as well as other information, such as descriptions of menu commands when the mouse pointer rests over a menu option. You can turn the Status Bar off and on to suit your work preferences.
From the View menu, choose Status Bar.
Or right-click anywhere on the Menu Bar, toolbars, or in the Folder List and choose Status Bar from the shortcut menu
